How we work

The first meeting is always face-to-face, complementary and with no obligation. This is when we listen to your ideas, share some of our own and get to understand what it is you want to achieve; your list of must-haves, don’t-likes, and get to know a little more about your lifestyle.

What is your ideal layout and will it work within an existing space or a newly created one?

The functionality of a kitchen is the first and most important consideration: the preparation and cooking of food, storage of provisions and equipment, the dining and seating arrangements. We will discuss this with you. Only once these considerations have been established can we move onto discussions concerning furniture style, materials & finishes.

The Formalities

After the first meeting, we will send a letter summarising all that was discussed, a brief outline of how we work, our Terms of Business and budget figures for the supply & installation of furniture, worktops & appliances. If at this point you wish to proceed with the design process, then we will produce a comprehensive package of plans, elevations & 3D views together with a comprehensive specification and formal quotations for the furniture, worktops & appliances. We ask for a nominal fee to produce this package which is refundable against the quoted costs should you proceed and order the kitchen with us. This fee covers our design time & intellectual property rights in the event that you choose to appoint another supplier. The fee is usually in the region of £1.5k + vat depending on the size & scale of the proposed works.

Once the designs have been signed off and costs agreed, we will then oversee all aspects of the manufacturing & installation process, covering the furniture, worktops & appliances supply from initial site survey through to satisfactory completion. We will liaise closely with your builder, producing M&E schemes and schedules to cover plumbing, electrical & furniture lighting 1st & 2nd fix requirements.

Upon satisfactory completion, we will assist with warranty issues & engineer call-outs in the event of appliances malfunctioning, tweaks, touch-ups & repairs where necessary to existing furniture. We are still attending the ongoing requirements for kitchens installed for clients over 15 years ago!
